April 14th - Introduction to Basic Gear, Leaders, and Knots: Discussion will cover basic equipment needed to fly fish, including rods, reels, lines, and leaders. Hand-on practice of basic knots.
April 21st - Fly Tying Clinic of Basic Patterns & Knots II: Individual AFF members will demonstrate and discuss aspects of fly tying and show their effective fly patterns. Hands-on practice of knots will be available for those that would like additional help.
April 28th - Fly Fishing Opportunities in Southcentral Alaska: Panel discussion and Q&A with members of the Alaska Fly Fishers, local fly shops, and ADF&G biologists.
May 12th - Casting Clinic: Demonstration and hands-on workshop of casting a fly rod. Session will be outside, at the west end of the Park Strip. (off 10th Avenue between "N" St and "P" St.)
