2026 Spring Fly Fishing Seminar

Ready to wade into fly fishing?

Our 52nd Annual Spring Fly Fishing Seminar is a four-part series that will get you started into the world of fly fishing.

Mondays, 5:30 - 7:30 PM at BP Energy Center (Map) 

April 13th - Session 1: Basic Gear of Fly Fishing & Knots

An introduction to the basic equipment used for fly fishing, lines, leaders and hands-on knot tying practice with AFF members. 

April 20th - Session 2: Effective Patterns, Fly Tying & Knots II

Discussion of basic fly patterns with AFF members on hand tying favorite patterns!

April 27th - Session 3: Fly Fishing in South-central Alaska

A panel discussion with members of AFF, local fly shop owners, guides, and fisheries biologists from ADF&G.

*May 11th - Session 4: Casting Clinic  *6:00 to 8:00 PM

Demonstration of basic casting techniques and hands-on casting practice.

Outside on the west end of the Park Strip. (10th Ave & "P" Street)

A one year membership in AFF is included with a General Public admission. You'll receive our newsletter for 12 months. Unsubscribe is available.
